Ready to Bloom
The winters here, in Sceaux, France, are much milder than I know back "home" in New York. During these months as I've walked doing errands to simply to walk in the beautiful park of Sceaux I am often amazed at the power of flowers. Where I live is lined with street of hundreds year old stone walls as houses have been built on rolling hills that over looking Paris. (Yes, you CAN actually see the top Tour Eiffel from the end of the street here on a most nights.) It is pure magic. What is also magic is the power of nature. The ivy and flowers who cease to be disturbed by the walls and barriers which have been built to control their spread. I look to this delicate strength in these times which feel like I've been put inside a stone wall, and I know that somehow I will make my way through and out to the other side of this time in my life. There is no doubt that it feels like molasses going uphill in January in Vermont.
During this period of time as I have been building my own brand, I searched for work, furthered my skill set in many ways with business, time management, language, writing classes, teaching english, computer programs, website building, and now a new tool, with Ai. I was not 100% against it, but it took me a few months to adapt to it. Maybe I might even be considered an early adaptor when we look back at this time in 5-10 years from now.
The plants on my terrace received the memo that spring is now officially 2 days underway.
For now, I post these backpacks, I have been prompting a few over the past couple of weeks with Midjourney. I think of the strength of the people who have helped and encouraged me on my path, my journey, my walks. A reminder for myself and all of us; Despite cold, rains snow and ice, regardless the bad weather put on us, in our due time we will bloom.
